Summer Mini Music with Shannalee Classes
During class, parents learn to be more musical with their babies and toddlers while joyfully exploring a variety of songs, dances, and rhymes in a supportive group setting. Class is 30 minutes (with 15 minutes of play at the end).
Safety- Safety is important to us, and we will take necessary precautions to ensure a fun and secure environment while enjoying the musical experience together! Families agree that while participating in Mini Music with Shannalee classes at any given venue, it is at your family's own risk. Families acknowledge that Music with Shannalee is not liable for any injury or illness that may arise from attending.
Participation- Since this class is primarily for teaching healthy music learning practices to parents for music learning at home, parents must participate in all activities. Children often are unresponsive in class and engage more freely at home between classes. This is normal. Parents are encouraged to learn the activities during class time so they can share them with their children during more receptive times at home.
Phones- Phones must be left on silent or outside the learning space.
Class Time- Enrolled children may roam the learning area during class as long as they do not divert other children’s attention. Occasionally invite a roaming child back to the group, but do not force the child to participate.
Kindness-Do not compare one child's accomplishments to another’s. Children develop at different rates. Later development is sometimes better! We will be encouraging to all in the studio.

You don’t have to be a professional musician in order to gain the benefits of music with your family! Learn from a trained music educator (BME K-12) and vocalist, Shannalee Baird, how to connect with your baby through music while meeting other families in our community. Shannalee uses instruments, puppets, scarves, and more to provide engaging and research-based music classes to the Missoula area. She will have you singing, dancing, and rhyming with songs that the whole family will love and use at home daily.

With an intent to “feel and enjoy the music in our bodies,” Kate Jordan Augusto is joining us (partnering with Shannalee) for this workshop. Kate will layer spirally, wavy movements, breathing and imagery throughout the musical experience. Kate is a certified GYROKINESIS® movement teacher, dance educator, and Missoula Momma of an eccentric 4 year old girl.
